Port of Aqaba
Jordan Green Ammonia (JGA) is Hynfra’s first and most advanced project in the Middle East, which is widely recognized as one of leading destinations for H2 and NH3 projects.
JGA’s business concept assumes green ammonia as the main product generating all revenues. However, the close proximity of industrial facilities offers substantial potential for additional revenue streams resulting from sales of hydrogen, process steam or desalinated water.
To facilitate the Project's implementation, SPV - Jordan Green Ammonia LLC has been established as a joint venture between Hynfra and Fidelity Group.

Infrastructure
The Project’s facilities are to be located in the Port of Aqaba, Jordan’s only port and the country’s main gateway to the international fertilizer trade.
The port operates three terminals with comprehensive facilities for both dry and liquid cargoes, capable of handling ships up to 100,000 DWT with a draft of 21 meters. It has a proven track record in the safe handling of ammonia.
Local market & international trade
The Port of Aqaba hosts major regional fertilizer players, incl. Jordan Phosphate Mines Company or Arab Potash Company, which consume approximately 400,000 tonnes of ammonia annually. It is also the core of Jordan’s Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA) making the region an industrial hub with high demand for various substrates.
